Yahoo! Shine‘s video premiere “The Accidental Entrepreneur” is now LIVE!  Learn more about the amazingly inspiring story behind mompreneur Annette Giacomazzi’s founding of CastCoverz!

“My daughter had been complaining about her cast scratching her and snagging on things so I took out my 30-year old sewing machine and whipped up a simple cover for it, and a matching sling. It worked so well, I made a more colorful version. And, inspired by Halloween coming up, I then made another set. Elli was starting to get quite a few compliments at school and suddenly it hit me – this was a business!”

Inspired by Annette’s daughter, named by her son, financed by her husband, and worked by herself…CastCoverz! truly is a family business with a simple mission: to provide fun and functional products that comfort orthopedic patients.

We’re SO excited…and we just can’t hide it! 

The countdown is on!  Three days and counting until CastCoverz! is featured on Yahoo! Shine’s – Financially Fit web page.  They loved the story that CastCoverz!’s inspiration came from a mompreneur (Annette, pictured right) wanting to make her child feel better with a cast cover, after her 6th broken bone.

This Sunday, January 15th is a special day for Sacramento-ites and Members of the Broken Bones Club!

Good Day Sacramento and KMAX-TV reporter, Melissa Cabral recently fell and broke her arm. CastCoverz! came to the rescue with a CCZ! Care Package, including Armz!, Sleeperz!, CastShield, and a CastCooler.  Melissa was so excited about the relief she received and how fashionable and the fun the CastCoverz! products were, that she decided to put out a “CAST”ing call to fellow members of the Broken Bones Club in Sacramento and Central Valley of California for a fashion show!

Tune in January 15th at 7:00 a.m. PST – that’s this Sunday as CastCoverz! will be on three segments starting with an in-studio interview with the founder – Annette Giacomazzi and her daughter (surrounded by five fabulous friends).
